The V-Guides bar (guide strips )is the rubber strip that has the function of positioning and guiding. The main purpose is to ensure that the conveyor belt runs accurately on the conveyor and does not run off, and it can also be used as the positioning of the material on the bearing surface of the conveyor belt. The color of guide strip is generally green (commonly used) and white, mainly made of PVC, PU, PE and other materials, which can adapt to the different grades of quality requirements of general industrial industries and food and packaging industries.


Commonly used V-Guides bar specifications are: 6 * 4, 10 * 6, 13 * 8, 17 * 11 (unit mm), its cross-section is isosceles trapezoid. Take 6*4 as an example, which means 6mm wide and 4mm thick guide bar.




The role of conveyor belt with V-Guides bar(guide strips):


There are two main roles of guide strips. One is to prevent the conveyor belt from running off during operation, and the other is to be used as positioning on the bearing surface.


The effect of adding guide strips to the contact surface of the conveyor belt and the roller is to make the conveyor belt in precise position during operation and to prevent the belt from running out of position after long operation, thus prolonging the service life of the conveyor belt.


The main purpose of adding V-Guides bar (guide strips) to the conveyor belt load surface is to prevent the material from rolling. This type of conveyor belt is mainly used in some food processing, such as egg transportation.
